Shot Anticipation Shooting Drill – SIG Sauer Academy
By: Conrad Davenport, Modern Gunner
Everyone who shoots with me on a regular basis knows that I love shooting drills. They are a way to improve my abilities in a new and fresh manner. Many shooters have a problem with anticipating the recoil a shot and will flinch during the trigger pull. Adam Painchaud, Director of the Sig Sauer Academy in New Hampshire, has prepared a pistol drill that can help you with your trigger-finger discipline and your overall accuracy. If you know you’re flinching in anticipation of the shot this drill may help you. Watch this video, from the NSSF, for an explanation of the drill.
If you try this drill, let us know how it worked for you.
